Lower Dolpo Teahouse Lodge Trek Itinerary (19 Days)
Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)
- Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport
- Transfer to your hotel
- Rest and enjoy your first taste of Himalayan hospitality
Day 2 – Cultural Tour & Trek Briefing
- Visit UNESCO World Heritage sites: Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Kathmandu Durbar Square
- Meet your guide and check trekking gear
Day 3 – Fly to Nepalgunj (150m)
- Scenic flight to Nepalgunj
- Overnight stay in Nepalgunj
Day 4 – Fly to Juphal, Trek to Dunai (2,140m)
- Flight to Juphal
- Begin trekking towards Dunai, a riverside village
Day 5 – Trek to Tarakot (2,540m)
- Trek along the Bheri River
- Reach the historical fortress town of Tarakot
Day 6 – Trek to Laini (3,160m)
- Continue up the Tarap Khola, passing through pine forests
- Stay overnight in Laini
Day 7 – Trek to Nawarpani (3,545m)
- Trek on a narrow trail with scenic canyon views
- Overnight in Nawarpani
Day 8 – Trek to Dho Tarap (4,090m)
- Gradual climb through widening valleys
- Reach Dho Tarap, one of the highest year-round settlements
Day 9 – Acclimatization in Dho Tarap
- Explore Bon and Buddhist monasteries
- Rest and acclimatize for the upcoming high passes
Day 10 – Trek to Numa La Base Camp (4,440m)
- Ascend gently to the base of Numa La Pass
- Set up camp surrounded by rugged terrain
Day 11 – Cross Numa La Pass (5,150m) to Danigar (4,510m)
- Early trek across Numa La Pass
- Descend to Danigar's yak pastures
Day 12 – Cross Baga La Pass (5,070m) to Yak Kharka (3,800m)
- Cross Baga La Pass
- Descend through meadows to Yak Kharka
Day 13 – Trek to Ringmo (Phoksundo Lake, 3,600m)
- Descend through birch and pine forests
- Arrive at Phoksundo Lake
Day 14 – Explore Phoksundo Lake & Tshowa Gompa
- Rest day to explore Ringmo village
- Visit Tshowa Gompa, a 900-year-old Bonpo monastery
Day 15 – Trek to Chhepka (2,670m)
- Descend along a forest trail following Phoksundo River
Day 16 – Trek to Juphal (2,475m)
- Continue downhill to Juphal
- Celebrate the final day of trekking with your crew
Day 17 – Fly to Nepalgunj, then Kathmandu
- Flight to Nepalgunj
- Connect to your Kathmandu flight and transfer to your hotel
Day 18 – Buffer Day (in case of delays)
