Itinerary for Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo and Cho La Pass – 17 Days
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
- Airport pickup and hotel check-in
- Rest or explore Thamel
Day 2: Preparation, permit, and sightseeing day
- Obtain necessary permits
- Explore Kathmandu's famous landmarks
Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,840 m), trek to Phakding (2,610 m) – 3–4 hrs
- Scenic flight to Lukla
- Begin the trek to Phakding
Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) – 6–7 hrs
- Cross the Hillary Bridge
- Enter Sagarmatha National Park
- Steep ascent to Namche
Day 5: Acclimatisation in Namche, hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung
- Explore the area and hike to get acclimatised

Day 6: Trek to Dole (4,200 m) – 6 hrs
- Panoramic views of Thamserku and Kangtega

Day 12: Trek to Lobuche (4,940 m) – 3–4 hrs
- Gradual ascent towards Lobuche
Day 13: Trek to Gorak Shep, visit Everest Base Camp – 7–8 hrs
- Touch the legendary Everest Base Camp
- Return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay
Day 14: Hike Kala Patthar (5,545 m), trek to Pheriche (4,280 m) – 6–7 hrs
- Sunrise hike for the most iconic views of Everest
- Descend to Pheriche
Day 15: Trek to Namche – 6–7 hrs
- Retrace steps through Tengboche
Day 16: Trek to Lukla – 6–7 hrs
